A rapid and sensitive analysis mcthod for the determination of free carbon and SiC in lining material of iron runner by high frequency IR carbon sulfur analyzer was presented in this paper. Through a lot of condition experiments,the proposed method has been established and applied to analysis the practical samples with satisfactory results.
