南阳民歌五声调是从最初的三声、四声调式发展而来的 ,后来又发展为多种多样的六声调和七声调 。

The five-tune mode in Nanyang folksong has come from the original three-tune mode and the four-tune mode and later veloped into the six-tune mode and seven-tune mode which have a close relationship with the customs and living styles of Nanyang people.
