摘要
关于涡流室式柴油机起动孔的作用机理至今没有一种公认的合理解释。作者利用高速摄影对活塞顶部的着火和燃烧情况进行了观测,发现起动孔有使主燃室直接着火和使涡流室容易着火的双重作用,从而找到了起动孔加速起动过程的作用机理。本文讨论了起动孔对发动机性能的影响。文章还分析了主燃室内的火焰运动规律,为设计合理的主燃室结构型式提供了依据。
An investigation was made on ignition and combustion at starting condi-tion in a prechamber diesel engine by high speed photography.It was foundthat the starting throat causes direct ignition in main chamber and easierignition in prechamber,thus shortening the starting process.Comparisonbetween engines with and without a starting throat revealed positive effectsof the starting throat on engine performance.The flame motion pattern inmain chamber was also analyzed and the guidelines for main chamber designwere discussed.
