摘要
杰弗里·杰利科（１９００～１９９６）是英国现代景观设计理论及实践的代表人物，他对英国乃至世界的现代景观设计作出了杰出的贡献，至今景观界的同行们仍对他满怀崇敬，他的设计理论及作品被视为景观专业学生必须研习的重点内容。他最著名的著作是《人类的景观》，具有代表性的作品有“肯尼迪纪念碑”和“水之园”。从他的设计理论和实践中，可以间接了解英国现代景观设计行业的发展过程以及英国现代景观设计领域的理论重心。
Geoffrey Jellicoe(1900-1996) was a master of the modern landscape theory and practice in UK.He had made a great contribution to modern landscape design not only in Britain but also worldwide, Nowadays the landscape professionals still find him a source of inspiration, His theory and projects are considered as the important reference materials for the students of landscape design. This article reviews his well- known publications such as The Landscape of Man' and his projects including the Kennedy Memorial ,the Water Gardens of Hemel Hempstead .His professional experience represents a key part of modern landscape design in UK.
