The normal structures and mechanisms of vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF) and C- erb B- 2 oncogene are stated.Their expressions and significances in neoplasm,especially in gastric carcinoma are stressed.They are related to the growth, invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma.VEGF or C- erb B- 2 will become the important predictors and supervisors for the biological behavior and prognosis of gastric carcinoma.
