Ostracism was the important part of the Athenian democracy.It was not only the strong weapon of preventing the tyrannis from restoration in Athens,but also effective means of limiting and resolving the struggles between the parties.Athenians used it to bring any figure who possessed power and influence under control,so these persons could not be above the law,and become special ciligen.
