As an important member of the first-generation central leading group, DENG Xiao-ping always paid great attention to education. As soon as the Cultural Revolution ended, he began to restore things to order and brought about a new atmosphere in Chinas educational cause. As the nucleus of the second-generation central leading group, he advanced a series of theories concerning educational reform and development, which opened up a new prospect for the establishment of socialist educational cause of Chinese features and thus laid a solid foundation for the development of Chinas education in the future.
