Mr. Deng Xiaoping paid more attention to encourage Chinese teachers when he was still living and in good health. His main thoughts included: (1) Material encouragement should be taken into account; (2) Spirit encouragement should be in top priority; (3) Education in mentality and politics is an integral part of encouraging teachers; (4) Reasonable system could arouse teachers' enthusiasm for their world; and (5) Due attention should be paid to impartiality when encouraging.
