On the theory of historical ruins

遗址是历史的化石，文明的碎片，文化的载体，旅游的对象。对遗址问题进行专题研究，对于我们学习历史，弘扬传统，开发旅游，保护生态都具有重要意义。上个世纪末，我们提出了“生态旅游”的口号。在新的世纪初，我们是否可以提“遗址旅游”的口号，从而推动各类遗址的保护和开发呢？

The ruins are fossils of history,pieces of civilization, a carrier of culture and targets of tourism. The monographic study on ruins is significant for us in terms of learning from history, keeping up good traditions, developing tourism and protecting the eec-system. We put forward the slogan of 'eec-tourism' at the end of last century, we may advance another slogan of 'ruins tourism' at the very beginning of this century to promote the protection and development of the various ruins.
