科学求实办公室(OfficeofScientificIntegrity)是美国80年代末成立的,旨在对科学不端行为(ScientificMisconduct)进行调查和处理的专门机构。对科学求实办公室的创建背景、人员组成、工作方法以及外界对它的评判进行了深入的介绍,并结合中国科学界的实际情况,探讨了科学求实办公室3个方面的借鉴意义,即成立专门调查机构的必要性;保证调查机构的中立性和权威性;保护揭发者和被揭发者的权利。

The Office of Scientific Integrity was set up in1980s.It is a special institute to investigate and deal with the scientific misconduct in America.This article introduces the background,form,work of the OSI and people's critics to the OSI.We also probe into the OSI's three reference significance associated the practice of scientific field in our country.That is the necessity of a special institute,to assure the neu-trality and authority of the investigate institute,to protect the rights of the related people.
