摘要
本文旨在使读者了解 GPS 系统的基本原理及其在各种场合的应用。目前GPS 系统能满足地球上和近地空间的军民导航和测量的各种要求。该系统将向无限的用户提供精确的位置、速度和时间数据。是一个全天候的用户无需发射无线电信号的系统。
This article has been prepared to acquaint potential users with the fundamental principles of the Navstar Global Positioning System(GPS)and the utilization of GPS equipment in many fields. Now the GPS concept incorporates all of the features required for both joint-mill- tary and civilian navigation and survey anywhere on or near the surface of the earth. The GPS will provide an unlimited number of suitably equipped users with precise position,velocity and time data under all weather conditions and at any time of a day.Since it is a passive system,it does not require radio transmission from the user.
