改善基本生活条件、减轻贫困、农业的可持续发展和妇女参与发展是联合国开发计划署援华技术项目 Ｃ Ｐ Ｒ／９１／１１４ 实施的目的。科技扶贫是减轻贫困的重要途径之一。现介绍该项目在科技扶贫方面取得的成效，项目农业技术推广途径及其效益，并对依托当地资源，推进科技进步，促进农业可持续发展进行了探讨。

Poverty alleviation, sustainable agricultural development and women in development are the objectives of UNDP technical assistance project “Research, Demonstration and Extension of Sustainable Farming Systems for Rainfed Agriculture in the NW China”. poverty alleviation through science and technology is an important way for poverty eradication. In this paper, the agricultural technical extension approaches and the project achievements on poverty alleviation were reported. How to strengthen science and technology progress and to hou enhance sustainable agricultural development based on local resources were discussed.
