摘要
《古新星新表》是当代中国天文学家在国际上影响最大的工作之一，对于天体物理学的发展有重大历史意义。本文考述该工作的缘起、发表后的巨大反响，并结合此后天体物理学的一系列新进展分析其历史意义。
A Table of Ancient Novae' was one of the most famous works done by Chinese astronomers in 20th century. The paper gives an account of the motivation of this work, describes its international influence, and discusses its historical meaning in the developments of astrophysics.
