Construction and Management of Municipal Traffic Infrastructure

分别介绍了美国加州交通局和广州市负责交通基础设施建设与管理的机构、职能以及近年来的成就。比较了两种管理体制在工程建设、产品开发等事件上的运作机制和过程。由此提出了城市交通建设与管理的现状和发展中可能存在的问题 。

The function and the achievements of the departments of municipal governments in charge of construction of traffic infrastructure and management on traffic operation and control, both in United State and China, are introduced in this paper. The management mechanism and the processes of the two system are compared in the field of engineering construction and product development, etc, based on statistical data. Some problems possibly existed in this area are diagnosed according to the analysis of data. Some suggestions for the management system reform and improvement are made.
