摘要
首先讨论了大系数液晶材料具有抗磁性的原因; 然后讨论了向列相液晶、 扭曲盒液晶和胆甾相液晶在磁作用下产生的Freedericks转变; 最后讨论了磁相干长度。
In this chapter, the reason why the most of liquid crystal materials are anti-magnetic is discussed firstly. The physical mechanism of orietation vector of liquid crystals is discussed under a given magnetic field for nematics and choleslerics respectively. Based on these, the mathematics formula and the limited magnetic value of Freedericks transformation are derived. Finally, the length of magnetic coherence is discussed.
