Technical tactics of applying heterosis in rice are discussed in three aspects. It is thought that the most important research in rice breeding is to excavate yield potency tryng every means; new ways need to be discovered in utilization of heterosis between Indica and Japonica subspecies;breek-through in One-line hybrid rice may be disclosed in polyploidy rice.
