摘要
本文认为鄂东南地区的三组断裂构造都是从邻区通过本地区的深大断裂,并在新构造期都有不同程度的活动,其地质、地貌迹象显著,它们都是继承性活动断裂;而地震活动则与这些断裂活动有密切联系。
The earthquakes are closely related to active faults in southeastern Hubei Province. There are three groups of deep and large active faults through this area by adjacent area, stretching in the direction of NNE, NW and nearly EW. The faults move in different extent in neotectonic period and result in various and obvious geological and geomorphological indications. The earthquakes in the area are controlled from them and distributed unevenly in space and time. The degree and frequence are small.
