湖北平结蚁属一新种记述(膜翅目:蚁科)

A NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS PRENOLEPIS MAYR FROM HUBEI PROVINCE (HYMENOPTERA: FORMICIDAE)

记述了1993年8月8日笔者在湖北省利川市发现的平结蚁属一新种：黄腹平结蚁人Prenolepisflaviabdominissp.

This paper reports a new species of the genus prenolepis Mayr from Hubei province, China.All type specimens are Preserved in the Institute of Zoology,Shanxi Normal University.preolepis flavabdomins sp. nov. (figs: l - 2)The new speies is allied to Prenlpis melanogaster Emery,but can be distinguished from the latter in thefollowing character:head lengh is longer than its broad;the centre of anterior border of clpeus without notch;the first segment of abdomen is orange-yellow.HolotyPe: woker, Licuan city, Hubei province. 8 - m - 1993, Wang Wei.peratype: 2 workers,same as the holtype.
