文中在分析传统的搜索引擎和离线浏览软件优缺点的基础上，提出了一种基于代理的因特网信息获取方案，并实现了集自动下载、全文检索和离线浏览功能于一体的 ＷｅｂＣｌｏｎｅ系统，使用户获取和共享因特网信息更加方便。

On the basis of analyzing the pros and cons of traditional Search Engines and off-line browsing applications, a scheme based on agents for Internet information retrieval is presented. According to the scheme, a system named WebClone integrating the functions of automatic downloading, full-text search and off-line browsing is implemented. The system can be used to facilitate the information retrieving and sharing process on the internet.
