Condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of equipment is very important in industry sector, but the wood based panel industry is less developed in this field. This paper discusses the present situation and necessity of the development of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of equipment in the wood based panel industry, and put forward some countermeasures in view of existing situation.
