WTO——the Opportunities and Challenges to Higher Education in China

中国加入WTO必然引起社会经济的变革 ,这必将给中国高等教育的发展提供充足的资源和精神动力 ,进而促进中国高等教育的发展。但是 ,加入WTO同时也给中国高等教育带来直接和间接的严峻挑战。只有在思想观念的转变、管理体制及教学改革、质量保证机制和办学条件等方面加大改革力度 ,才能确保加入WTO成为推动我国高等教育发展的重要动力之一。

Chinas entering WTO is bound to bring about social and economic changes and ,by providing ample resources and spiritual power, will undoubtedly drive the development of higher education in China. However, Chinas entry into WTO will also directly or indirectly make Chinas higher education encounter severe challenges. Only if greater efforts are made in the aspects of ideological conversion, administration system reform, teaching innovation, quality guarantee system building and bettering the conditions of school running can Chinas entery into WTO be guaranteed to be one of the important driving forces to improve Chinas higher education.
