注重礼仪是中华民族的优良传统，在中国古代的道德规范中，礼为“五常”—仁、义、礼、智、信之一。礼是“四律”—礼、义、廉、耻之首。“周礼”作为一门哲学体系以至成为后儒经书，对周代及周代后世的服饰产生了重要的影响。

Politeness is also the first of “ the four disciplines” (politeness, righteousness, integrity and shame).“Rites of Zhou Dynasty ” as a philosophy system, has an important influence on the dress in Zhou Dynasty and later t ime.
