延安市区大气污染属煤烟型污染。污染物浓度有明显的日变化规律，且有双峰双谷特点，每日峰值出现在６∶００～１０∶００和１８∶００～２２∶００；谷值出现在１１∶００～１４∶００和０∶００～５∶００，市区主要污染物是飘尘。
The air pollution of Yan'an City is that of coal smoke, and the main pollutant is bug dust. The daily variation regularity of pollutant concentration is significant, with the feature of double peaks and double valleys. The peak values appear at 6:00～10:00 and at and at 18: 00 ～22:00 respectively, and the valley values appear at 11: 00～14: 00 and 0:00～5:OO, respectively.
