Preparation of N-acetylglucosamine dimer and trimer from chitin

甲壳素细粉通过浓盐酸部分水解,活性炭吸附层析,以不同浓度的乙醇洗脱得三个组分。纸层析结果表明,这些组分分别为N-乙酰葡萄糖胺单糖、二聚糖和三聚糖。

Three fractions were obtained by partial hydrolysis of powdery chitin in concentrated hydrochloric acid, followed by chromatography on charcoal column eluted with different concentrations of alcohol. The result of paper chromatography is presented which suggests that the fractions are N-acetylglucosamine monomer, dimer and trimer respectively.
