Three dimensional model of cylinder head, which has the most crowded and complex components in 16 valve diesel engine used for cars, is completed in Pro/Engineer and the general design steps of the cylinder head are put forward by using 3D CAD. The design techniques of cylinder head for small direct injection diesel with high speed are introduced.
