摘要 首先说明未来的大容量通信网需要光通信 ,然后解释波分复用技术用于增加光纤传输容量 ,近年来单模光纤、半导体激光管、光纤放大器以及阵列波导光栅的合波 -分波器等光无源器件围绕着波分复用技术的快速发展。最后说明波分复用技术用于全光通信网。 The paper begins with briefly explaining how the forthcoming large-capacity communication network would need the new optical communication technology. Then, it describes the importance of developing wavelength division multiplexing technology to raise the capacity of optical fiber transmission, and how the technologies of single mode fiber, semiconductor laser diode, fiber amplifier, and array waveguide grating for wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer are rapidly advancing. Finally, it explains the development of WDM-based all optical network.
