文中介绍了一种 2 .5Gbps同步数字传输 光纤网络 (SDH SONET)芯片组。发送器由MAX3890 (合路器、时钟发生器 )和MAX386 7(激光驱动器 )组成 ,总随机抖动仅为 3.4psRMS,MAX3890可提供 2 .5Gbps时钟给MAX386 7的输入锁定 ,用于数据信号的再定时 ,使MAX386 7成为仅有的系统性抖动源 ,典型的系统性抖动≤ 50psRMS。接收器由MAX386 6 (TIA)、MAX3875(时钟及数据恢复 )和MAX3885(分路器 )组成 ,总随机性抖动仅 4 .6psRMS 系统性抖动约为 2 0psRMS。该芯片组对于ITU Bellcore关于 2 .5GbpsSDH SONET抖动规范有显著的设计裕量。
The transmitter consists of MAX3890(synthesizer and clock generator)and MAX3867(laser driver).The total random jitter is only 3.4 ps\-\{RMS\}. MAX3890 can provide a 2.5 Gbps colck to the input lock of MAX3867 for the second timing of the data signal, and it makes MAX3867 to be the only systematic jitter source. Its typical systematic jitter is no more than 50ps\-\{RMS\}. The receiver consists of MAX3866(TIA),MAX3875(restoring circuit of clock and data)and MAX3885(resolver). Its total random jitter is only 4.6 ps\-\{RMS\}, and the systematic jitter is about 20 ps\-\{RMS\}. This chip group has large design abundance as to the 2.5 Gbps SDH/SONET jitter standard of ITU/Bellcore.
