北京朝阳门地区一件不完整的下颌骨化石 ,代表了中更新世中期至晚更新世早期德氏水牛 ( Bubalusteilhardi)在北京城区的首次发现 ,具有重要的地层学、古气候学意义。该化石的发现表明 。

An incomplete lower jaw fossil referred to Bubalus teilhardi from the Pleistocene at Chaoyangmen area represents the first occurrence of this mammal in downtown Beijing,thus has great significance stratigraphically and palaeoclimatologically.This finding gives the evidence that the weather was warm and moist around downtown Beijing about 100 to 200 thousand years ago.
