Jiangyin Changjiang River Highway Bridge and Taizhou Economy Agglomeration

运用区域经济和运输经济的有关理论考察研究江阴长江公路大桥通车后作为大桥苏北桥头堡所在地泰州经济的集聚和扩散效应，泰州应充分利用自己区位优势，抓住机遇，强化优势产业，大力沟通上海、苏南，拉动苏北腹地经济上台阶，形成以泰州为中心的苏中地区沿江经济发展带。

This paper wholly examines the economic effect of agglomeration and diffusion in Taizhou which acts as the bridgehead of the north of Changjiang River since the setting-up of Jiangyin Changjiang River Highway Bridge in the perspective of the theory of location and transportation economics, and concludes that Taizhou should take advantage of its location, grasp every opportunity in enforcing its advantageous industries and communicating with Shanghai and the south of Changjiang River in order to improve the economic performance in hinterland of northern Jiangsu province and realize Taizhou-centred econmic development zone along Changjiang River.
