分片线性函数逼近与DCT相结合的图像压缩方法

Image Compression Algorithm Based on Piecewise Linear Model and DCT

文章基于分片线性模型的紧凑表示和整体拟合方法，提出了一种新的分片线性逼近算法。并将此算法用于对JPEG标准的改进。基本方法是在对图象数据做了DCT变换之后，对于不同块相同位置的元素，在保持块相对位置不变的前提下，进行分片线性函数逼近，从而在更大范围内把握图像的相关性，提高图像的压缩比率。

This paper proposes a new piecewise linear approximation algorithm based on canonical representation and global fitting，and applies it to the improving method for JPEG standard．In this method，It discretes cosine transform the image data of blocks，and then has piecewise linear approximation to the same position of different blocks．It can grasp the relation in wide district and improve the efficient of the compression radio．
