The operation principle of all fiber optic acceleration seismometer and structural characteristics of transducing element are introduced briefly The design considerations and theory of the diaphragms constraining transverse vibration of the transducing mass are described in detail The final experimental results indicated that the frequency spectra of the seismometer employing the diaphragms is improved obviously as compared to that of the seismometer without any constraining
