介绍利用燃料供应管道作波导，采用微波测量法对煤粉流量进行监测的新技术。文章推荐的应用软件在电厂测试数据的基础上，经过反复迭代，可求出在某些控制点上的优化燃烧过程，从而可显著提高电厂效率。
Using fuel feed pipes as a waveguide allows coal flow to be measured by microwaves. This permits the targeting of specific problem areas. From test data generated in power stations a strategy can be developed to optimise the combustion process in iterative steps at individual control points.
