This paper discusses the basic information which the risk assessment of chemicals requires, and describes the behaviours of chemicals in the environment and their effects to human health.Also the paper introduces the risk assessment system of OECD.Finally,it discusses the risk assessment procedures of chemicals and puts forward the strategy of management and control of chemicals for China.
