精神分析、行为疗法和认知疗法的理论都具有决定论色彩、直线因果式的思维方式和单线性的动力学描述的局限。在心理治疗过程中应用系统思维是吸取和综合运用认知理论、行为主义理论、人本主义理论方法的有用成分，形成一种包容众长又优越于传统方法的整合的系统治疗方法。系统治疗方法代表着心理治疗发展的整合趋势，是一种在融合了各种治疗思想和技术基础上产生的新的治疗模式。

The theories such as psychoanalysis, behaviorism therapy and cognitive therapy were all limited for their characteristic of determinism, mode of vertical causal thinking and linear mechanical description. Therefore, an application of systematic thinking in the process of psychological therapy means absorbing and comprehensively utilizing the useful components in humanism, cognitive theory and behaviorism so as to establish a synthetic and systematic methodology of psychotherapy, it was not only to embody all the advantages, but also transcends those traditional psychological therapeutic methodologies. The systematic methodology of psychological therapy, as a representative of the synthetic trend of development in psychologied therapy, has developed a new therapeutic mode based on merging various thoughts and technologies of psychological therapy.
