Face Detection Based on Template Matching and Neural Network Verification

本文提出了一种基于模板匹配与人工神经网确认的人脸检测算法 .算法使用一组双眼 人脸模板对搜索侯选人脸 ,并在搜索过程中使用多层感知器进行确认 ,以减少错误报警 .

A face detection algorithm based on template matching and neural network verification is presented. Two type of templates: eyes-in-whole and face itself, are used one by one in template matching for searching face candidates. A three layer perceptron is used in the template matching procedure to verify each face candidate to exclude most of the false alarms. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of this approach.
