成人高等函授教育是一种远距离开放式办学模式，具有很多特点．要提高函授教育的质量，应加强教材建设，制定符合函授教育规律的教学计划和教学大纲，注重理论联系实际，培养学生科学的思维方法．

Adult correspondence education of higher learning is a distant, open pattern of education with many characteristics. To raise the quality of correspondence education, good instructional materials should be compiled, syllabuses and curriculums in line with the laws of correspondence education should be worked out, theories should be combined with practice and students should be helped to form scientific thinking methods.
