The Function and Architectural Design of the Modernized Library

本文分析了图书馆自动化经历的三个历史阶段 :集成系统阶段 (即数据处理阶段 ) ,网络化阶段 ,数字化阶段。并结合数字图书馆的基本特征、优点及功能 ,阐述了图书馆自动化、信息化、网络化的发展改变着传统图书馆管理的技术和方法 ,使图书馆由传统图书馆向数字化图书馆渐变。作者认为在这种新情况下 ,建造一座新图书馆馆舍时 ,首选考虑的问题是全面实施“图书馆计算机网络建设工程” 。

This paper analyzes the three historical stages through which a library becomes automatic: integrated system stage (data processing stage), network stage and digit stage .Combining the basic feature. merit and function that a digit library possesses, it also expounds that the development of the automation, information and network of a library alters the traditional technology and method of a former library management,and makes it possible for the library to change gradually from a traditional one into a digit one. If we want to construct a new library in this new situation, the author thinks the first thing we should consider is to put “The Library Computer Network Construction Project” into effect in an all round way and establish a perfect system of automatic division in a library.
