This paper describes the calculating model of the gas bubble impulsive pressure, in which the effects of water surface and the up floating motion of the gas bubble are considered. On the base of the two dimensional strip theory and the hydro elastic method, the whipping response of the ship induced by impulsive pressure is calculated, where the ship hull is treated as a free free Timoshenko beam. In addition, the anti shock performance of the floating raft vibration absorption machinery, which is acted by gas bubble impulsive pressure, is discussed.
