Application of Marcov Chains In the Management of Locomotives

主要运用马尔可夫链来研究机务段中机车的配属问题。首先简要介绍马尔可夫链理论 ,然后结合长沙机务段的机车运用情况 ,对机车未来的运用状况进行预测 ,结果表明理论计算与实际统计十分吻合 ;最后对如何提高机车运用的经济效益 ,提出了行之有效的措施。

This article discusses mainly the application of the theory of Markov Chains in the configuration of Locomotive Depot. At first it introduces briefly the theory of Markov Chains. Then, based on this theory and Changsha Locomotive Depot's exact situation of locomotive utilization, a forecast for the utilization of locomotives in the future is carried out. The result shows a perfect match between the theoretical calculation and the practical statistics. At last, the article provides some feasible measures to raise the economic benefit for locomotive utilization.
