该文以历时性和共时性的观点对泉州的居住建筑进行了分类和着考察。在分析它们产生的社会文化背景和发展过程之后，指出这种在外来文化影响下的有机发展过程正面临中断的问题；认为，建筑师应为自己的作品寻找在中国乃至世界坐标中的时空方位，努力体现独特的地域性建筑。

This paper gives a classification and inspection on housing in Quanzhou from the point on context, After analysizing their social cultural background and the process of development, the paper points out the problem that the process of organic development is at the edge of interruption. It also points out that architects should find the time-space position in the Chinese and international coordination system for their works, and try to embody the local spirit.
