By analysing background characteristic of times to foster graduates of high quality and ability to innovate and to meet the challenge of knowledge economy, our country advances the strategy of revigorating the country through science and technology and building up the nation's system of innovation, which has a high requirement of colleges of science and technology in the training of scientific and technical personnel with innovative mind. The article suggests ways and measures to deal with the problem.
