Using object oriented programming technique (OOP), a CAD software for cast resin dry type power transformer (CRCAD) is introduced and it is expounded how to employ OOP for defining the data structure of the software and set up the mathematical model for optimization design. The CRCAD system developed and realized has a friendly interface and a good applicability.
