As an important mechanism to provide guaranteed QoS in packet-switched networks,queuing scheduling algorithms have been widely researched in recent years.We present an Enhanced Rate-Proportional Server (ERPS),which gives the method and condition of designing system virtual-time function and compute their fairness index.We also give an example of packet-level queuing scheduling algorithm based on ERPS.
