The paper presented two scheduling algorithms for multicast traffic in WDM lightwave networks including random selection with persistent retransmission and random selection with backoff retransmission , as well as a receiver algorithm for selecting among multiple simultaneous transmissions, while constructing their mathematical models, analyzing and comparing their performances.
