摘要
用虚拟现实造型语言(VRML)可开发多种分布式虚拟现实应用,但目前Internet的传输速度仍不能满足分布式虚拟现实系统的实时性和交互性要求。为解决上述问题,本文设计并实现了一个VRML场景的交互浏览系统。通过提取场景描述图,用户可选择感兴趣的部分场景传输,以减少网络数据量和提高系统实时性。另外,系统中还集成了细节层次算法来简化复杂场景,从而加速绘制。
Many distributed virtual reality applications can be developed by using virtual reality modeling language (VRML), but the transmission speed of Internet still can not satisfy the requirements of real-time interaction of distributed systems. We designed and implemented a system for users' interaction and browsing in VRML scenes. By extracting the scene graph, users can choose the parts he interested for transferring, therefore the communication data is reduced, and the interaction between the user and the system is enhanced. In addition, level of digital methods is integrated to simplify complex scenes and accelerate rendering processes.
