在对中文期刊的入室阅览人次及读者复印中文现刊等数据的统计分析基础上 ,总结出文献利用率低、成本过高是地方院校图书馆传统期刊服务的突出特点 ,探讨了其成因 ,指出期刊服务今后改革和发展应遵循的四个原则。

In analyzing the statistics of readers' visit to Chinese journals reading room and readers' copying of the lastest journals, the author concludes that the low utilization and high cost are the striking characteristics of the local university libraries traditional Journal Service. She discusses the cause of these characteristics and puts forward four principles of the reformation and development of journal service.
