简述了MPEG 4与H .2 6 3视频编码原理 ,并在以两图象序列为例进行编码实验的基础上 ,着重就二标准的低比特率编码性能如输出码率、峰值信噪比和主观图象质量作了比较、分析 。

Authors analyzes briefly the video coding principle on MPEG 4 and H.263 standard. Based on the coding experiment of image sequences, compares and analyzes coding performance, such as the output bitrate,peak signal and noise ratio and subjective image quality between MPEG 4 and H.263 The comparison results are given.
