文化建设是关系中国现代化的一个重要课题。在社会主义初级阶段，中国共产党以马克思主义为指导，面向现代化，总结历史，展望世界，成功地探索了建设有中国特色社会主义文化的基本路线。党在社会主义初级阶段的文化建设中，必须正确把握指导思想，处理好传统文化和现代化的关系。

Cultural construction is an important problem to the modernization of China. On the initial stage of socialism the CPC have explored the basic line successfully which owned the Chinese characteristics of socialist culture through the way of taking the Marxism as guidance, facing the modernization, summing up the historical experience, looking forward to the world. The CPC must hold the guiding ideology correctly and deal with the relations between traditional culture and modernization soundly in the cultural construction of socialist initial stage.
