21世纪图书馆的转型和图书馆员角色的转换对图书馆员素质提出了更高的要求。文章针对我国图书馆员队伍知识单一、知识老化的现象 ,提出专业进修是提高图书馆员素质的行之有效的途径。

The type shifting of libraries and the role changing of librarians in 21st century advance higher requirements for the quality of librarians.In the light of phenomena of knowledge unicity and knowledge aging of librarians of our country,this paper hlods that the further education of library spsciality,after all,is one effective way to increase the quality of librarians.
