吴奔星先生的诗歌创作是他从事诗歌创作７０多年心灵轨迹的写照，体现了其对真、善、美的热烈追求和对假、恶、丑的无情鞭挞。他的诗歌创作，不但有充沛的激情，而且具有学者的睿智；在新、旧诗体艺术优长的相互吸收与融合方面也作出了卓有建树的探讨。在诗歌理论研究方面，“诗美鉴赏学”的建立和诗歌的虚实美学理论的提出在中国诗歌史上具有重要的意义。

The present essay discusses Professor Wu Ben-xing' s poetic theory and creation. The author thinks that Wu's seventy-odd years' poetic creation is the real manifestation of his spiritual progress which is the passionate pursuit of the truth, the good and the beautiful and merciless castigation of the false, the evil and the ugly. His poems possess not only poetic passion but also intellectual wisdom. In the research of poetic theory, the establishment of his ' Appreciation of Poetic Beauty' has profound significance in the theoretic construction of poetry.
